BIO: I’m bringing soft-boy leading-man energy in a compact package. Think soulful stares, delicate features, and a deep commitment to dramatic belly-up cuddling. I’m gentle, a little goofy, and serious about squeaky toys. I prefer thoughtful co-stars, cozy couches, and a respectful supporting cast. Cast me as your constant companion and let’s make something quietly iconic together.

HIS FOSTER SAYS: "He will fall asleep cuddling on his back, belly up it’s so cute!"

  • Rescued from a shelter in Texas; Timothee arrived in Brooklyn in mid-February 2026.

  • If brooding leading man energy came in a 16-pound Chihuahua body, it would be this guy.

Timothee Chalamet is a 7-year-old dog with soulful eyes, delicate features, and just enough dramatic flair to honor his tiny-but-mighty roots. He’s goofy, gentle, alert — and very committed to the art of being exactly where you are. Preferably touching you. Ideally belly-up.

Like many self-respecting Chihuahuas, Timothee has opinions. On walks, those opinions can sound like barking, growling, and lunging at other dogs. It’s less “aggressive villain” and more “small newcomer navigating Brooklyn and announcing his presence.” He recently arrived from a Texas shelter, so the city is still a lot. With thoughtful handling and continued training, he’s already working on redirecting and decompressing.

Inside the home? Much less drama. He coexists with a younger, larger dog just fine, though he’ll let her know if she invades his personal bubble or pushes play too hard. Boundaries are part of his brand.

With people, he’s friendly and outgoing. He wags when he sees you, welcomes pets, and settles in quickly. His energy is moderate — he enjoys regular walks and some play, but he’s not scaling furniture or staging midnight zoomie marathons. He loves squeaky toys and is an elite-level cuddler. One foster report confirms he falls asleep on his back, belly up, completely at peace. Yes, it’s as cute as it sounds.

He’s crate trained, house trained (though regression may happen in a new environment), and still learning basic commands. His leash skills are pretty good. He’ll thrive with someone patient, consistent, and unfazed by a little Chihuahua commentary.

He’s not just a small dog. He’s a small dog with presence. Lucky you.

  • Timothee is up-to-date on required vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm.

He has received a full health check and is currently in good health. However, we cannot make any guarantees regarding his future health or medical needs.

Complete veterinary records, dating back to the time of rescue, are typically sent via email after an adoption. They can also be sent in advance of an adoption, upon request.
