Badass Animal Rescue is a team of rescuers, fosters, and volunteers who work together to save and rehabilitate loving, adoptable dogs from high-kill shelters in the rural south. We are a mostly volunteer-run 501(c)3 nonprofit that has saved the lives of over 3,600 dogs since our founding 2011. We are not currently hiring for any roles but check back as we will post job listings as they become available.

Job Summary
Will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the fundraising strategy alongside the ED each year and ensuring we hit our goals
Developing the fundraising strategy alongside the Executive Director (ED)
Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work
Cultivate a network of dedicated donors
Spot new fundraising opportunities
Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals
Ensure major donors are satisfied and updates on the status and outcomes of their donations
Lead a team of 5-7 fundraising volunteers (Individual Giving, Online giving, Grants, Donor admin).
Maintain all databases and ensure Weekly meetings with the Executive Director, and heads of other departments, and weekly or bi-monthly meetings with volunteers.
Attend events throughout the year on behalf of Badass for fundraising purposes
Other items to be determined on an ongoing basis
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with revenue generation, pitching, and/or fundraising
Experience with database management (ie. Network For Good)
Team player - this is not a consultant role, you will work on a team!
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to lead and motivate colleagues and volunteers
Ability and willingness to learn and take direction as well as feedback
Strong Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with fundraising in a non-profit environment
Experience writing grant proposals and fundraising letters
Confidence with public speaking
Competence in Google Suite
Job Details
Job Status: Part-time, 24 hours per week, Contract, 60 day probationary period. 9-12 month commitment
Job Location: Work can be done remotely, with expectation to attend in-person/virtual meetings and events in NYC
Job Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job Summary
Oversee the foster programs day-to-day operations
Assist with all general foster team and logistical needs
Support fosters and matches appropriate dogs with foster parents
Attend networking and brainstorming sessions.
Support all aspects of the foster recruitment process.
Attend bi-monthly calls with team leads on an ongoing basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
Ability and willingness to learn and take direction as well as feedback
Ability to lead and motivate colleagues and volunteers
Respect and maintain the confidentiality of Badass Animal Rescue, volunteers, partners, and adopters
Must be dependable and punctual
Competence in Google Suite
Add Slack to their phone for quick communication
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with foster based dog rescue environment
Experience with dog behavior and dog handling
Experience working with and leading volunteers
