Job Title: Development Manager 

Reports to: Executive Director 

Location: Hybrid with required days in office and event attendance Compensation: $20/hr for 24 hours a week, flexible work environment 

Organization 

Badass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit network of rescuers, fosters and volunteers who work together to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for adoptable dogs from animal shelters in the rural southern United States and USVI. The dogs we rescue are in danger of imminent death, as the vast majority are rescued directly from euthanasia lists at high-volume, high-euthanasia facilities. Many have euthanasia rates of over 90% before rescues become involved. 

Position 

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Development Manager will be integral to the day-to-day operations of Badass Animal Rescue Inc. and will help take our organization to the next level. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Development team, including but not limited to training and managing the development team (partnerships, grants, online giving and individual giving), ensuring all processes are followed, managing the donate inbox, overseeing all fundraising events and campaigns as well as other development related items as they arise. 

Primary Responsibilities 

● Managing the Badass Animal Rescue Inc. development department. Including but not limited to overseeing a team of volunteers and providing training and support as needed; maintaining the donor database, building relationships with major donors; overseeing all online fundraising campaigns. 

● Managing the Badass donate inbox, ensuring all emails are addressed.

● Working with Marketing Team to create communication materials and timelines in connection with in-person and digital fundraising events. 

● Overseeing our fundraising/donor database. 

● Cultivating strategic partnerships with local businesses to raise funds and awareness for Badass Animal Rescue Inc.. 

● Leading the production of all fundraising materials. 

● Event planning and attendance. 

● Developing and implementing annual Development Strategy for the organization, as well as monitor and report on all key metrics as discussed. 

● Assisting with other projects and tasks as specified by Executive Director

Qualifications

● Experience and understanding nonprofit fundraising databases and landscape ● Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude 

● Ability to work in a small, start-up like environment
