Sara CLAWs
AGE / WEIGHT: 10 months old / 31 lbs
GENDER: Female
ENERGY: Moderate - active
GOOD WITH: Dogs - Yes, Kids - Yes, Cats - TBD
ABOUT ME: See this white paw? People say it looks like a glove, and I use it to say hello to basically everyone on the sidewalk. Strangers tell me I made their day, which honestly tracks. I’m young, goofy, and smart enough to learn fast, though I’ll negotiate a little first. Big dogs are my favorite playmates, Kongs are my favorite snack delivery system, and the leash and I are still working things out.
MY FOSTER SAYS: “Everyone loves her one white paw. A lot of people say it looks like a glove. She has gone up to multiple people who have said to me ‘That just made my day’ after she said hi.”

Sara CLAWs came into rescue in Selma, Alabama, as an older puppy along with her brother; her full history is unknown. She traveled to Brooklyn in early October 2026.

Sara CLAWs has a signature accessory: one white paw that strangers keep comparing to a glove. She puts it to good use, marching up to people on the sidewalk to say hello, and more than one has told her foster that the greeting made their day. She’s a young, goofy, inquisitive pup who already has a neighborhood fan club.
She’s still settling in, but early signs point to a smart, trainable girl with moderate-to-active energy and plenty of puppy enthusiasm to spend. She picks things up quickly and can be impressively obedient, with a stubborn streak that appears when she has ideas of her own. Her energy may mellow as she matures; for now, she’ll do best with an adopter ready for daily exercise and outdoor exploring, one of her favorite pastimes.
People are her thing. She’s friendly and outgoing with everyone, though she still jumps up when excited and is learning to keep four paws on the floor. She’s been comfortable with kids she’s met outside the home. Older kids are a good fit, and younger ones are still to be determined, mainly because of that bouncy puppy greeting. Other dogs are a highlight: she’s been boarded with dogs, loves to run and play, and is especially drawn to medium and large playmates. A dog sibling would suit her but isn’t required. Cats are unknown.
She’s house-trained, with no accidents in her foster home, and has a solid crate-training foundation. Leash manners are a work in progress; she tends to pull and get distracted on city walks. Treats are a strong motivator, and a stuffed Kong is a guaranteed hit.
For anyone who wants a bright, social young dog to train, walk, and show off around the block: the glove comes standard. -
The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
