Prince Zuko

Prince Zuko lived in one home from the age of eight weeks. In June 2026, when his owner experienced housing instability and could no longer keep her dogs safely, Zuko was surrendered, along with another dog who had previously been adopted through the rescue.

Prince Zuko’s foster calls him her best and easiest foster yet, and it’s easy to see why. He’s a big, gentle, deeply affectionate goofball who loves people indoors and out, wags his way through every greeting, and launches himself onto the couch, the bed, or up the stairs with a running start just because he can.

At home he’s a mellow guy whose favorite pastime is cuddling and relaxing with his people. Toys don’t do much for him, but other dogs do. He’s lived alongside multiple foster dogs and done well, and his play style is rough, rowdy, and vocal, so a playmate who enjoys a good wrestle would suit him. A dog sibling is a bonus, not a requirement.

He’s friendly with just about every living creature, cats very much included. He grew up with three of them and lives calmly alongside them. He loves kids, sometimes a little too much; he’s big and may lick and jump at first before calming down, so little ones should be supervised until everyone finds their rhythm.

Zuko is crate trained, house trained, and very good on leash. He’s smart and nails his cues at home, but in busy, unfamiliar places he can get overstimulated and forget them, so continued practice in new settings will help.

What he wants most is simple: a person to adore, a comfortable couch, and permission to take it at full speed.

The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
