Prince Zuko
AGE / WEIGHT: 3 years old / 72 lbs
GENDER: Male
ENERGY: Moderate
GOOD WITH: Dogs - Yes, Kids - TBD, Cats - Yes
ABOUT ME: Give me my people and a good play session and I'm the happiest goof around. I'm exuberant, affectionate, and a champion at making friends, humans and cats alike (I grew up with three of them). I love a rowdy game and an even better cuddle afterward. New places take me a minute to figure out, so I like sticking close while I get my bearings. Find me my person and I am theirs, completely.
MY FOSTER SAYS: I will arrive in Brooklyn soon! Badass will share more as soon as I’m in a foster home.

Prince Zuko lived in one home from the age of eight weeks. In June 2026, when his owner experienced housing instability and could no longer keep her dogs safely, Zuko was surrendered, along with another dog who had previously been adopted through the rescue.

Prince Zuko is a playful, affectionate goofball who wears his enthusiasm on his sleeve. He is exuberant and deeply people-oriented, the kind of dog who wants to be part of whatever you're doing and greets his favorite humans like the best thing to happen all day.
He has a moderate energy level and a big, happy play style. With other dogs he is social and games for fun, though his play runs rowdy and vocal, so new dog friends are best introduced slowly and thoughtfully; a confident playmate who enjoys the rough-and-tumble would suit him well. He is wonderful with cats, having grown up alongside three of them, and he is affectionate with kids of all ages. Because he is large and bouncy, small children should be supervised until everyone finds their rhythm.
Zuko is crate-trained and house-trained, walks fairly well on leash, and knows several cues, with recall that holds up until a rabbit or turtle steals his focus. City living will be new to him, so a little patience as he learns the sounds and pace of it will go a long way.
He bonds closely with his people and can be unsure in brand-new situations, which means he does best with someone who offers a calm, steady presence while he settles in. What he wants most is simple: a person to adore, a comfortable routine, and a spot near his humans. He'll be a loyal, joyful companion who thinks you hung the moon. -
The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
