OG Anunoby

From Georgia; showed up as a stray at the home of a rescue volunteer and was so nice they immediately took him in. OG traveled north to Brooklyn in mid-September 2026.

OG Anunoby spends most of his day curled up on a dog bed, snoozing with the focus of a seasoned pro. Then, once or twice a day, the playful side comes out. He'll head to the toy bin, pull out every toy one at a time, and prance around with each, shaking it so enthusiastically it whacks him in the face. He's goofy, gentle, and a little clumsy, and his foster calls his temperament lovely.

He's a quick study, too. Once he figured out that sitting on the elevator earns a treat, he started sitting for every rider, strangers included. He's learning his name and "sit," and he's food-motivated and eager to please. On leash he's surprisingly polished, walking right at your side for much of the walk.

OG loves other dogs and has excellent dog manners; he's learning to walk past dogs on the street instead of stopping to say hi. He has been calm and gentle with young kids. His experience with cats isn't known yet. With new people he's calm and accepting rather than outgoing, though he's warming up as he settles in.

He has one clear home requirement: OG doesn't do well left completely alone, so he needs a home where someone is usually around or another dog keeps him company until he learns to settle by himself. He's still working on crate comfort and house training, so his adopter should be ready for patient, consistent practice.

Everything else about him is easy. A calm, dog-loving household with a toy bin to raid will have him prancing in no time.

The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
