Natalie Anderson

AGE / WEIGHT: 1.5 year old / 51 lbs

GENDER: Female

ENERGY: Moderate

GOOD WITH: Dogs - Yes, Kids - Yes, Cats - Yes

BIO: Sole Survivor of every room I walk into. I've got the social game figured out — greet everyone, charm them instantly, and when the food comes out, move fast. I'm a lover first: I'll find my way into your lap whether there's room or not, lean into every pet you offer, and melt completely when you give me sustained attention. I'm still learning the ropes of city life, and I'm a little clumsy about it — but that's part of my charm. Pick me and you win.

HER FOSTER SAYS: "This girl loves being near you. If you lie down next to her, she will be all the spoons."

  • Rescued from Selma, AL after being injured (likely hit by a car). Natalie traveled north in mid-January 2026, once her injuries healed.

  • Natalie Anderson knows how to work a room. The moment she walks in, she clocks every person, greets each one with a loose, waggy enthusiasm, and within minutes has everyone completely enamored — a skill set she has clearly perfected. She's goofy and clumsy in the best way, the kind of dog who sploots on hardwood floors and crawls directly onto your lap like it was always the plan. She's a love.

Natalie is a moderate-energy dog who thrives on affection, play, and togetherness. She does best when her people are present and nearby — she's an attached, people-oriented dog who will follow you from room to room and lean against you the moment you stop moving. She gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, and has been gentle and sweet in every animal interaction she's had. She's been terrific with kids of all ages in the environments she's encountered them.

She's still settling into city life, which means leash manners are a work in progress and she's adjusting to the sounds and sights of an urban environment. She has a solid foundation and is eager to please and trainable — she just needs time, consistency, and patience as she gets her footing. Adopters should be prepared for the normal adjustment period that comes with a new home, and expect some training regression as she transitions.

Natalie is the kind of dog who turns strangers into fans and acquaintances into devotees. Every person who meets her falls a little in love. The right adopter won't just be getting a dog — they'll be getting a whole personality.

  • Natalie is up-to-date on required vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm.

While in rescue, Natalie received care for several medical issues related to a prior injury; while some have been resolved, others may require ongoing maintenance care. If you think Natalie might be a good fit for your home, we can share a more detailed medical history.

Complete veterinary records, dating back to the time of rescue, are typically sent via email after an adoption. They can also be sent in advance of an adoption, upon request.
