I'm house trained, learning fast, and ready to pick my person. The real question is whether you're ready to be chosen.

Mira has a presence. The kind that stops strangers mid-stride on a Brooklyn sidewalk and makes an entire family exclaim at once. This black-and-white stunner arrived from Georgia in late February 2026, and she has been making an impression on everyone she meets ever since.
Her personality has that same layered quality. Striking and a little goofy on the outside — she is famously uncoordinated during fetch, sliding and slipping her way to the toy with great enthusiasm and zero embarrassment. But underneath the antics is a dog who is deeply, genuinely connected to her people. She wags her way into every stranger's face looking for a lick and a snuggle, and once she's in your orbit, she stays there. Her foster has found her tucked between their legs, head on a thigh, completely content.

Mira is moderate-to-active energy with classic puppy exuberance — she can read as high-energy simply by virtue of being young and enthusiastic. She does well with other dogs, especially calmer ones who aren't rattled by her puppy spirit. She's been gentle with kids of all ages when she's encountered them. Cats are still to be determined.
On the training front, Mira has made real progress. She's house trained in her foster home, though adopters should expect some regression with the transition. Crate training has a solid foundation — she goes in on her own to relax and doesn't bark at night — though she's still working on settling calmly when her foster is home. She needs a patient, consistent adopter ready to keep building on the good work already in progress.

Mira is up-to-date on required vaccinations, spayed, and tested negative for heartworm. She still needs to be microchipped.
She has received a full health check and is currently in good health. However, we cannot make any guarantees regarding her future health or medical needs.
Complete veterinary records, dating back to the time of rescue, are typically sent via email after an adoption. They can also be sent in advance of an adoption, upon request.
