BIO: Maubi is a traditional Caribbean drink — bitter bark steeped until it turns into something smooth and worth sipping slowly. I'm named after it for a reason. I was the calm one in a busy kennel, patient when other dogs weren't, unbothered when things got loud. I walk with a limp from an old knee injury, but I get around just fine and I haven't let it change my pace or my attitude. I take things at my own speed. I just happen to think my speed is exactly right.
HIS FOSTER SAYS: Maubi will arrive in Brooklyn soon! We will share more as soon as he is in a foster home.

Maubi was rescued from Dominica, where he was known for being the calm, quiet presence among the other dogs — sweet-natured and patient even in a busy kennel. He sustained an injury to his back left knee and walks with a noticeable limp, but gets around just fine and hasn't let it slow him down. He'll be traveling to Brooklyn in mid-June 2026.

The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
