BIO: I’ve arrived in the big city and I’m ready to lead. I’m a professional socialite who treats every walk like a televised ballroom finale—I’ve got the charm and the "main character" energy to prove it. Whether I’m keeping pace with my foster brother or greeting every fan on the sidewalk, I’m always in sync. I’m highly food-motivated and ready to be your most loyal partner. Consider your social status officially upgraded.

HIS FOSTER SAYS: "Mark is such a sweet dog who wants to please his people. Between walks and playing, he’s become our foot warmer when we are in work meetings."

  • Surrendered by an owner in Selma, AL after they couldn't care for him. He traveled north in late January 2026.

  • Consider Mark Ballas your fast track to social stardom. This goofy, gentle soul has traded the slow lane for the big city and is ready to upgrade your lifestyle. Don’t feel sorry for his past; feel lucky you’re the one who gets to walk him now.

Mark is a professional ""people person"" who conducts every walk like a local greeting tour. He’s an unapologetic socialite, eager to approach every human and dog he passes with wagging enthusiasm. He’s already proven to be an excellent roommate and friend to his foster sibling, showing he’s got the social graces to handle a multi-dog household. While he might start a meeting with a polite, cautious sniff, he quickly transitions into a playful companion who isn't afraid to jump up and tell you exactly how glad he is to see you.

Inside the house, Mark is a surprisingly refined companion. He appears to be house-trained and is happy to follow your lead on a walking schedule. He’s highly food-motivated, which makes him a dream to train, provided you have the right snacks on hand.

He does have a few basic training needs: crate training is a work in progress and he is still mastering leash skills. He’s so distracted by the sights and smells of the city that he’ll need a patient leader to keep him on track. If you're ready for a sweet, slightly attached, and endlessly entertaining companion, Mark Ballas is ready to headline your home.

  • Mark is up-to-date on required vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm.

He has received a full health check and is currently in good health. However, we cannot make any guarantees regarding his future health or medical needs.

Complete veterinary records, dating back to the time of rescue, are typically sent via email after an adoption. They can also be sent in advance of an adoption, upon request.
