Kyra Milligan
AGE / WEIGHT: 1.5 years old / 46 lbs
GENDER: Female
ENERGY: Moderate
GOOD WITH: Dogs - Yes, Kids - Yes, Cats - Yes
BIO: Just a heads up: I will absolutely be the most interesting thing at any social gathering. I've got a fan club at daycare, a best friend to cuddle with, and a whole roster of dog pals — big, small, clingy, whatever. Goofy, sweet, and very specific about where I poop. Pro tip: if you're eating near me, please hold it higher than you think you need to.
HER FOSTER SAYS: "Kyra has perfect pittie piggy noises and other specific sounds that are all just the cutest. She loves to dive bomb grass, dog bed, or whatever. Above all else, she is just SWEET and very tolerant of shenanigans."

Kyra was rescued from a small, rural shelter in Georgia and traveled north to Brooklyn in early April 2026.

Kyra is a big-hearted, goofy, and genuinely sweet dog who approaches life with equal parts enthusiasm and affection. Like her namesake, a competitive CrossFit athlete known for her power, resilience, and devoted fan following, this Kyra has built quite a social media presence of her own. The fanfare is entirely well-deserved.
At daycare, Kyra is a star. She's made a best friend in her foster's dog Rosita, navigated a roster of dogs of all sizes and temperaments with grace, and cheerfully tolerates an adoring little shadow who follows her around and pushes every boundary she has. At home, she gets along well with the resident dogs too, with occasional cuddle puddles to prove it. Cats are a bit of a question mark — she showed nervousness around them when tested early on, and a retest is pending now that she's settled and more confident.
Kyra is deeply food motivated — charmingly, sometimes hilariously so. She needs a home that understands impulse control is a work in progress and is committed to consistent training, especially around food. When she's not supervised, she's best kept in her crate, which she accepts without major drama.
On the leash she's a work in progress, especially first thing in the morning. A confident handler and dedicated leash training will go a long way. She's also mildly cautious about thresholds and getting into cars, though patient encouragement does the trick.
Away from the leash and the snack negotiations, Kyra is full of little moments that make her impossible not to love. She makes perfect pittie piggy noises. She dive bombs any soft surface with full commitment. And she has a very specific, multi-step process for finding the right spot to do her business — Goldilocks would approve.
Kyra is the kind of dog who makes every room better just by being in it. She's still learning the ropes, but she brings a whole lot of heart to the process.

Kyra is up-to-date on required vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. She tested positive for heartworm and still requires treatment. If Kyra is adopted prior to treatment, Badass will cover the cost of care. If you think she might be a good fit for your home, we can share more details regarding her heartworm treatment plan.
She has received a full health check and is in overall good health. However, we cannot make any guarantees regarding her future health or medical needs.
Complete veterinary records, dating back to the time of rescue, are typically sent via email after an adoption. They can also be sent in advance of an adoption, upon request.
