BIO: I’m a gentle, low-key soul who believes the best adventures happen from a cozy couch. I win people over quietly — with soft eyes, a calm presence, and a well-timed head resting in your lap. I adore companionship and thrive in peaceful spaces where love is steady and unhurried. Dogs, cats, kids — I greet everyone with the same easygoing grace. I’m not here for chaos. I’m here to be your constant.

HER FOSTER SAYS: "All Jane wants in life is head scratches."

  • Jane was found as a stray in Selma, Alabama. While her full history is unknown, it was evident that she had experienced neglect and needed medical attention and TLC. She arrived in Brooklyn in late January 2026.

  • Unlike her namesake, this Jane Goodall is all about naps, cuddles, and making humans feel like the luckiest people alive. This calm, sweet, older lady has mastered the art of chilling, and she does it with a quiet elegance that commands attention wherever she goes. Instant fan club? Check. Cuddle enthusiast? Double check.

Jane is the belle of any ball, whether she’s meeting new people or charming the socks off her foster crew. She doesn’t jump on furniture for snuggles—she’s classy like that—but plop down and she’ll happily rest her head in your lap while you lavish her with pets. She’s gentle, friendly, and eager to please, making her a perfect companion for humans of all ages—even tiny humans (foster-tested with 3-year-olds).

Her social skills extend to four-legged friends too. She’s currently cohabiting peacefully with dogs and has learned to give her foster cat space while quietly observing like the dignified lady she is. No drama here, just polite coexistence.

Energy level? Low. She’s a certified couch potato with a PhD in relaxation. Toys? She collects them like a tiny, adorable hoarder but has yet to figure out the whole “play” thing. Favorite hobby? Snow-eating (seriously), cuddles, and soaking up affection.

Training-wise, she’s house trained and pretty solid on leash. Crate? Let’s just say she’s… negotiating the terms.

Jane came from a rough start but with love and care, she’s thrived into a joyful, affectionate, and utterly charming companion. She’s proof that a gentle hand, a few treats, and a lot of love can turn almost any story into a happy ending.

  • Jane is up-to-date on required vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. She tested positive for heartworm and has not been treated.

She has received care for medical issues that will require ongoing maintenance care. If you think Jane might be a good fit for your home, we can share a more detailed medical history and potential future care needs.
