BIO: I escaped a life that didn't quite fit and landed somewhere much better — sound familiar? Every walk is a full investigation, every new smell a breaking story, and every snuggle session a well-earned reward. I'm a little clumsy, a lot curious, and genuinely up for anything. Wherever you're headed is exactly where I want to be. Life is short — let's explore everything.
HIS FOSTER SAYS: "He loves to snuggle a lot. We also had a brush session which he liked a lot. He was the perfect dog ever during his uber ride, very calm and snuggly, fell right asleep...Any activity seems to be a BLAST for him!"

Found as a stray in GA, Flaco arrived in Brooklyn in mid April 2026.

Like his namesake — the scrappy owl who escaped captivity and figured out how to thrive in New York City against all odds — this dog landed in Brooklyn and wasted no time making himself at home. He arrived as a stray from Georgia with an easy-going attitude, an endless supply of goofy energy, and a serious commitment to being wherever his people are.
Flaco is a high-energy, deeply affectionate dog with a personality that keeps you entertained. He's clumsy in the best way, intensely curious, and delightfully stubborn — the kind of dog who will attempt the same counter-sniff three times in a row just to see if the answer changes. He loves people immediately and completely, and has no concept of personal space: if you're sitting, he's on you; if you're in the bathroom, he's waiting outside the door; if you move to the kitchen, he's moving to the kitchen too — treat in mouth.
He's currently living happily with another dog and is friendly and playful with dogs he meets on walks, though he's been known to have strong feelings about who gets which treat. Kids seem to bring out his happy, social side, though his experience in a home with children is still building. He's house-trained with no accidents in foster, settles quickly in his crate, and is learning to walk at a pace that doesn't assume everyone shares his enthusiasm for forward momentum.
Flaco will do best with an active adopter — someone who can match his energy, laugh at his antics, and commit to consistent training. He's smart, eager to please, and already making real progress. He just needs a home that'll invest in him the way he'll invest in you: completely and without hesitation. -
