BIO: I'm named after a whole island — and if you know anything about Dominica, you know it does not do anything halfway. Neither do I. My energy is real, my enthusiasm for people is genuine, and the second you walk through the door I am going to make absolutely sure you know I've been waiting for you. I don't have a low gear. What I do have is a whole lot of affection, a lot of excitement about what comes next, and zero interest in apologizing for either.

Dominica was rescued from the island of Dominica in the Caribbean, where she was in the care of a local rescue partner. She will travel to Brooklyn in mid-June 2026.

The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
