Bridesmaids
AGE / WEIGHT: 2 years old / 42 lbs
GENDER: Female
ENERGY: Moderate
GOOD WITH: Dogs - Yes, Kids - TBD, Cats - TBD
ABOUT ME: I came out of the kennel a little excited. Then I remembered my manners: friendly, affectionate, and happy to take pets from anyone who offers. A whole crew walked me, and I was a total pro for every one of them. If another dog wants to bring the drama, I’ll pass and keep my cool. I’ve been the bridesmaid long enough. Brooklyn, I’m ready to be somebody’s main event.
MY FOSTER SAYS: I will arrive in Brooklyn soon! Badass will share more as soon as I’m in a foster home.

Bridesmaids made quite an impression on rescue day. She bounced out of her kennel with some excitement and settled almost immediately. Then she spent the visit being walked and handled by one team member after another without a single hiccup. She was friendly, affectionate, and happy to take pets from anyone offering, and she left the whole crew wondering how nobody had scooped her up yet.
Her dog skills are the real headline. She was enlisted to help temperament-test other dogs, and she kept a steady head through all of it. A high-energy pup tried to get a rise out of her with his antics; she didn’t take the bait. A nervous dog brought anxious energy; she stayed unbothered. A walk with a third dog ended in calm, polite hellos. One thing worth knowing: she showed some excitement at a fence line with that high-energy pup early on. It faded once the view was blocked and both dogs had a chance to chill.
She came into a Georgia shelter as a stray and had become its longest-standing resident by the time our team showed up. Early signs point to a young, medium-energy, medium-sized dog who is easygoing with people. She hasn’t arrived yet, so everything here is a first impression.
Her Brooklyn foster will fill in the rest: house and crate training, leash skills on city sidewalks, energy at home, and how she does with kids and cats. Expect a fuller report once she’s had time to settle.
Consider this the bouquet toss. Somebody please catch it. -
