Adele
AGE / WEIGHT: 3 years old / 44 lbs
GENDER: Female
ENERGY: Moderate
GOOD WITH: Dogs - Yes, Kids - TBD, Cats - Yes
ABOUT ME: I come out of the gate excited, I'll admit it. A minute later, though, I'm calm, friendly, and saying hi to everybody. My real talent is dog manners. If a new pal comes on too strong, I set him straight nicely, and then we play. Drop my leash and I'll trot right back for round two. Brooklyn, I'm ready for my first headline show.
MY FOSTER SAYS: My story is still being written. Check back soon for updates!

Adele was surrendered to our rescue partner in Georgia when her owner moved and couldn't bring her along. She has been in our partner's care since, and she traveled to Brooklyn in mid-October 2026. She is staying with a boarding partner and will move into a local foster home soon.

Adele's party trick is dog diplomacy. She was introduced to a dog with a little too much enthusiasm. She answered with calm, clear manners and no fuss, and once they had room to interact, the two had a blast. When we dropped her leash, she kept circling back to him for more. The next day she met another dog and was just as playful.
People get the same easy treatment. She bursts out of her kennel with plenty of excitement, settles quickly, and gets down to the business of saying hello to everyone in sight.
Adele was surrendered to our rescue partner when her owner's living situation changed and there was no room for a dog.
The rest of her résumé (house and crate training, leash skills, energy at home, and kids) will get filled in when she moves into her foster home.
Anyone hoping for a dog who can hold her own with other dogs and still greet the neighbors politely should put Adele on repeat. -
The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
