Pippi Longstocking
AGE/ESTIMATED WEIGHT: 6 years old / 62 lbs
GENDER: Female
BIO: I may not have red braids and freckles like my namesake, but I AM unconventional… unconventionally cute, that is! I’m a total cuddlebug who’s friendly with pretty much everyone—humans, dogs, you name it. I love to hike and explore the outdoors, so I’m looking for a home outside the city!
PERSONALITY: The Class Clown: goofy, entertaining, clumsy
FOSTER TO ADOPT: This dog is eligible for our limited foster-to-adopt program, which gives approved adopters the chance to welcome a dog into their home and get to know them before finalizing an adoption. The foster-to-adopt period typically lasts 2–4 weeks and follows our standard foster guidelines. Interested adopters should submit an adoption application noting their interest in the program and the specific dog—they can connect with the adoptions team for more details.

Meet Pippi Longstocking — or Pippa — a freckle-faced adventurer who’s equal parts athlete, goofball, and cuddle bug. Born in rescue as part of a nine-pup litter, she grew up in a loving home but was returned to Badass when life changes made her a little too nervous around kids. Now she’s thriving at “camp,” where she spends her days romping outside with a large group of dogs and her nights snoozing happily in her crate.
She’s got a gift for keeping the peace — even if another dog gets snarky, she just shrugs (in her dog way) and trots off to find a new friend. She’s confident and playful with her canine crew, whether that’s sprinting through open fields, splashing in creeks, or engaging in high-speed zoomies. With people, she’s friendly but may hang back for a minute before deciding you’re her new best friend — and then she’s all in for snuggles and attention.
She’s also incredibly athletic — the kind of dog who could keep pace on long hikes, run trails, or explore your acreage without breaking a sweat. A city or even suburban life isn’t her scene; loud noises and busy streets make her anxious. What she’s looking for is space, quiet, and an adopter who’s as outdoorsy as she is.
Her ideal match? Someone with land, no kids, and a love of adventure. Bonus points if you have another dog — she shines brightest in canine company. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and while she doesn’t log a lot of leash miles right now, she’s eager to please and highly trainable.
If you’ve been dreaming of an off-leash hiking buddy, a running partner, or a joyful shadow who’s always up for fresh air and wide-open spaces, Pippa’s ready to lace up her imaginary boots and join you.
