Meet Lorde — not the award-winning musician, but she does bring big lead-singer energy into the room. This girl believes every day deserves a little fun, a lot of affection, and ideally a standing ovation in the form of belly rubs.
Lorde is a goofy, friendly, people-loving dog who’s happiest when she’s part of the action. She’s affectionate in a very “your hand has a job to do” kind of way, and when she wants attention, she can be a bit pushy about it—paw taps, hopeful barks, and the occasional “excuse me, I’m here” leg hug. She’ll benefit from adopters who can help her practice settling, build independence, and reward calm moments just as much as enthusiastic ones.
Her energy level is moderate: she enjoys her walks, snacks with the intensity of a true food critic, and treats the neighborhood sidewalk like her personal tasting tour. She leads with her nose, so walks can turn into quick scavenger missions—she’s skilled at spotting (and attempting to sample) street snacks before you do. With consistency and rewards, she’s learning to keep moving instead of menu-surfing. Indoors, she loves being close, soaking up pets, and reminding you that cuddling is a team sport.
With other dogs, Lorde is social and adaptable, matching each dog’s vibe. In play, she can get rowdy and sometimes a little too enthusiastic, so supervision and breaks help keep things fun. She’s been comfortable around kids in passing, is house trained, crate trained with some ongoing work, and overall eager to please when snacks are on the line.
For an adopter who appreciates a sweet, silly companion with star power—and is ready to guide her toward better manners—Lorde is ready to take center stage in your home.

“Lorde is like a little love bug made of glue—she always wants to be as close to you as physically possible! Every time I try to take a picture of her, she wiggles right up to me, so now my phone is filled with extreme close-ups of her nose, her eyes, or just a blur of her adorable head. It’s like she thinks selfies are a team effort!”

We do our best to ensure the dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
