BIO: Clairo is a total sweetheart who first appeared as a stray at the home of one of our rescue partners—and immediately won everyone over. She adored the kids in the house so much she happily curled up to sleep with them. Friendly, affectionate, and easy to love, she also became fast buddies with Badass Lily Allen; the two were such a perfect little duo that they could hang out unattended, playing and relaxing like they’d known each other forever.
HER FOSTER SAYS: “Clairo starts getting excited and wags her tail for strangers and dogs across the street. Loves anyone and everyone.”

Meet Clairo, a certified goofball with main-character energy and zero shame about it.
Clairo is the kind of dog who believes life is a group activity — preferably with snacks, cuddles, and at least one other dog involved. She’s friendly, inquisitive, delightfully clumsy, and deeply committed to being where the action is. Strangers across the street? Future friends. Dogs she’s never met? Obviously playmates. A room full of people? She’ll take one of each, please.
She’s been fostered with kids and did great (including sleepovers), and she absolutely adores other dogs. While in Georgia, she was fostered with fellow Badass Lily Allen, and the two quickly became besties. They played so well together and had such good manners that they were trusted to hang out unattended — which is basically a glowing Yelp review in dog form.
Energy-wise, Clairo is a happy medium: she enjoys walks and playtime, then happily clocks out for cuddles and a chew session with her beloved Benebone or elk antler. She loves laying next to her people, doesn’t mind being picked up, and takes her role as “emotional support shadow” seriously.
Training is very much in the “brand new, learning fast” phase. She has a solid crate-training foundation, is comfortable on a leash (though city distractions are still very exciting), and potty training is a work in progress — she’s currently holding out on peeing outside despite frequent walks. She can be a little mouthy in a gentle, young-dog way, but she’s already starting to respect boundaries.
Clairo arrived in Brooklyn from Georgia in mid-December and immediately made an impression, including being the life of her first adoption event. If you’re looking for a joyful, social, slightly chaotic sweetheart who will happily choose you and never look back, Clairo’s ready.
