Came into rescue as a stray in GA; arrived in Brooklyn in mid-December 2025.

Meet Clairo—the whirlwind of joy you didn’t know your life was missing. This goofy, inquisitive low-rider arrived from Georgia and immediately made herself at home in Brooklyn, winning over humans and dogs alike with her tail-wagging enthusiasm and fearless friendliness. She’s equal parts entertainer and snuggle expert: one moment she’s zooming across the room in a high-energy play frenzy, the next she’s tucked behind your chair or curled up on your lap, blissfully snoring.
Clairo is endlessly curious. She loves wrestling, tug, fetch, and even the occasional snow-licking adventure on walks. Other dogs? She’s your social butterfly, especially playful with pups her size—or taller. Older, more reserved dogs? She reads the room and gives them space. Cats? She’s curious, but we’re still testing the waters.
Her training is solid for a playful, clumsy pup: crate-trained, house-trained, and generally respectful of boundaries inside the home. She does get mouthy when excited—nips and playful grabs are her way of saying, “Let’s play!”—but she responds well to redirection and games like tug or fetch. On the leash, she’s comfortable but could use guidance to master city walking manners.
Clairo’s ultimate joy comes from people: she wants to be part of every moment, whether it’s helping with meal prep (right in front of the sink) or curling up beside you while you work or watch TV. She’s attached, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining—a living reminder that life is better when shared with a dog who chooses you as much as you choose her.

Clairo is up-to-date on required vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm.
She has received a full health check and is currently in good health. However, we cannot make any guarantees regarding her future health or medical needs.
Complete veterinary records, dating back to the time of rescue, are typically sent via email after an adoption. They can also be sent in advance of an adoption, upon request.
